In a recent notification, the Central Pollution Control Board (“CPCB”) highlighted the obligation for all manufacture of Electrical and Electronic Equipment (“EEE”) to Grant Extended Producer Responsibility – Authorization (“EPR – Authorization”) from CPCB under the E-Waste Management Rules, 2016. Form-I can be used to get the EPR Authorization.

The EPR – Authorization is required to ensure that end-of-life EEE generated by manufacturers is sent to authorized dismantlers/ recyclers.
